Mother/Daughter Weekday Meeting

 














May 17th at 7:00 p.m. will be our Mother Daughter Weekday Meeting.  Bring your daughters, mothers, granddaughters, friends or just yourself.  Everyone is invited!  

Classes are:  
pillow cases
bread dough creations
hair bows
painting nails

We will be taking pictures of you and your daughter and you can make a frame to put the picture in as well.

There will be signup sheets in the kitchen on Sunday May 13th as well as a list of supplies you will need for either the hair bows or the pillow cases.  You may contact Brandi Timm if you have further questions.

Congratulations to Sunni and Lloyd Lee who had a baby son April 25th.  His name is Treyson Lloyd Lee.

Thanks to all those who participated in "Sisters in White".  It was a wonderful morning.

Sister Barker will be in the rehab center for 4 to 6 more weeks.  Please keep her in your prayers and call or visit her if you can.  Her phone number is 227-1245.

Remember the ward Family History goals.  Each Sunday the ward will have a family history class.  You can attend any class that is of interest to you.  The topic will change each week.  May 6th will be Using Roots Magic.  Please let Randy Lundquist know of any ideas you might have for other classes.

Visiting Teaching

Like the Savior, visiting teachers minister one by one.  We know we are successful in our ministering as visiting teachers when our sisters can say: 1) my visiting teacher helps me grow spiritually: 2) I know my visiting teacher cares deeply about me and my family: and 3) if I have problems, I know my visiting teacher will take action without waiting to be asked.

President's Message

I loved conference, which I know everyone of us did!  It was fun to have, for the first time, some specific questions that I could look for answers to.  As I prayed for three particular questions to be answered, I was surprised how they were answered, one in particular.  I was driving to Rigby and put in one of the CD's from last conference.  There in the talk by Elder Christofferson, was the answer to one of my questions.  Right after asking that question in my morning prayers, right then, before the session of conference, was my question answered!  It was so wonderful!  I loved Elder Anderson's talk on "What thinks Christ of me"?  He said that the Lord will give us customized instructions from the talk given at conference, if we study them!  WOW, we can have personal instruction, course correction, and revelation.  Let's study them and see what miracles happen in the next six months!

Each Sunday the ward will have a family history class.  You can attend any class that is of interest to you.  The topic will change each week to try and cover the particular areas ward members need help with.  Watch the Sunday bulletin for the list of upcoming class topics.  When you see a topic that interests you, please attend.

April 28th is our Stake Relief Society Activity - Sisters in White Event
We have the opportunity to do baptisms, initiatory or a session.  We would like to include those that have not been to the temple and the Laurels in doing baptisms.  Plan now to make this day a special event for all of you.  It is always a joy to be in the temple with those we know and love.
