We have just concluded another glorious General Conference. We often hear the words, "The messages given at General Conference were just for me personally". So what do we do now?
At the close of the October 2012 conference, President Thomas S. Monson said, "As we take the messages of the past two days into our hearts and into our lives, we will be blessed. ...I have found in my own life that I gain even more from these inspired sermons when I study them in greater depth."
Elder David A. Bednar has encouraged us to "act in doctrine". Doctrine is the "why" of the gospel, the eternal truths, the things that never change, the eternal realities. The principles of the gospel are the "what" of the gospel, the things we do because we know and understand the "why". The "how" to accomplish these things is a matter of personal revelation.
May we suggest as you study the Conference Report in the May 2013 Ensign, that you look for the doctrines taught, the principles we are asked to follow and then seek personal revelation from the Lord on how to act to increase your personal knowledge, understanding and diligence as you seek to become truly converted unto the Lord. Preparedness
"...Man shall not live by bread alone..."
Water storage is Critical!
Fourteen gallons of water per person is the suggested amount to store for a 2 week emergency situation. This isn't a lot of water though. If you have room and means to do so, store more.
April Challenge: Rotate your water storage. Add to your storage if you have the space. If you don't, find ways to store it. If we all look I am sure we can find ways to be more prepared with our water supply.
Don't Forget!

Conference
One of my favorite quotes from conference:
"Marriage is a gift from God to us.
The quality of our marriage is a gift from us to God."
Favorite quote from Howard W. Hunter:
"...mend a quarrel. Seek out a forgotten friend. Dismiss suspicion and replace it with trust. Write a letter. Give a soft answer. Encourage youth. Manifest your loyalty in word and deed. Keep a promise. Forego a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Apologize. Try to understand. Examine your demands on others. Think first of someone else. Be kind. Be gentle. Laugh a little more. Express your gratitude. Welcome a stranger. Gladden the heart of a child. Take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of the earth. Speak your love and then speak it again."

Weekday Meeting
We would like to thank all those who helped with and came to our Relief Society Birthday Dinner. It was very "purse-onal" and we had so much fun! Oh, and if you happen to see Sister Nulph, you might want to give her a hand with her purse--it won the weight challenge!
Happy Birthday!
