Presidency Message

We have just concluded another glorious General Conference.  We often hear the words, "The messages given at General Conference were just for me personally".  So what do we do now?

At the close of the October 2012 conference, President Thomas S. Monson said, "As we take the messages of the past two days into our hearts and into our lives, we will be blessed.  ...I have found in my own life that I gain even more from these inspired sermons when I study them in greater depth."

Elder David A. Bednar has encouraged us to "act in doctrine".  Doctrine is the "why" of the gospel, the eternal truths, the things that never change, the eternal realities.  The principles of the gospel are the "what" of the gospel, the things we do because we know and understand the "why".  The "how" to accomplish these things is a matter of personal revelation.

May we suggest as you study the Conference Report in the May 2013 Ensign, that you look for the doctrines taught, the principles we are asked to follow and then seek personal revelation from the Lord on how to act to increase your personal knowledge, understanding and diligence as you seek to become truly converted unto the Lord.  Sister Bolander
