At my house, in my dining room, I have a
chalkboard that I write different quotes on. I change the quote every few weeks
when I find another one I like or think will help my family with struggles they
are going through. Right now I have a quote from President Uchtdorf on it that
I would like to share with you. It is,
“The Lord has more in mind for you than you have in mind for yourself. You have
been reserved and preserved for this time and place. YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS!”
We can do hard things, but only with
our Saviors help can we do hard things well. We all have trials and struggles.
All you have to do is talk to someone or even look around and see that trials
are there for all of us in some form or another. However, with those trials
comes a choice to endure or endure well. There is a difference. I can only
speak from my personal experience, but when I face trials and challenges that
rock my world and rock my faith, I try to turn to the Savior. He is the one who
knows what I feel when my heart is being torn in two and ripped from my body. He
is the one who understand that I don’t want to face the day, or even sometimes
go to church and take care of my responsibilities because I am hurting too
much. My dear sisters, we must turn to
him! We must give our hearts to him!
Then we must go on and do what he has asked us to do; work, take care of our
families, fill ourselves spiritually, go to all our meetings on Sunday. The
list could go on and on. It is hard!!! No one is immune to these challenges or
these feelings, but we are responsible for how we deal with these actions.
As I tell myself and my family, DON’T
LET SATAN WIN. Keep going, keep moving
forward, keep your spiritual lamps filled with oil, and you will be able to not
only endure, but endure well. I love each of you and want you to know that the
Lord loves you and knows you. He is always there for you. As long as He is your
foundation the storms of life cannot win, but you can!
