This is the start of a new
year. Lets make this a year of preparing. First things first though, you cant
prepare if you don't have a plan.
January’s preparedness
challenge is to go through the emergency items
you may already have, your first aid kits, your food, anything you have for an
event of an emergency. Make a list of what you have, them make a list of what
you need still and want to have included in your preparedness supply. Then take
that list and prioritize it, what you feel is most important. Everyone’s will
be different as everyone’s needs are different. Once prioritized make a goal to
get some of the items on your list throughout the year. Maybe you give yourself
20 dollars a month for just preparedness supplies, or when you buy gifts you
buy some preparedness items to give as gifts, Everyone’s financial obligations
are different so make this something you and your family can handle, make it a
goal you can be successful at. You can't get it all at once, it takes time and
effort to prepare and the most important
thing to remember is putting forth effort to prepare is better than not preparing
at all. So this month, make a plan and then put your plan into action and watch
how your families preparedness supply grows through out the year.
