Lesson Recap

MERRY CHRISTMAS sisters! Each of you received a gift from the presidency on friday, with an invitation to:
Search as did the wise men, Ponder as did Mary, and Praying as did the Savior.
I testify to you that this invitation comes from your Heavenly Father.
For those of you who weren't able to attend the lesson Sunday, here are some ideas to implement this invitation.
First: read Matt 2:11-12, search for ways you can come into his house, fall down, worship Him, open treasures, and present gifts.
The Wise Men exemplify the journey each of us takes as we seek the Lord.  They remind us that as we draw closer to Him, we will be led to continue our journey another way. BE WISE; SEARCH
Ponder as did Mary: Mary reminds us that we need to find a moment to ponder the events of that sacred night in Bethlehem.  In that moment we celebrate the miracle of Christ's birth, and the gift that Heaven gave. Luke 2:19
Praying as did the Savior: In the scriptures we looked at we found and made a list of things Jesus prayed for.  They included: over food, missionary work, the non-member, in our families, against Satan and evil, unity, to be purified, pray for understanding, ponder on things of God, prepare to receive more revelation. He always recognized his Father and prayed that we would trust Father that He would answer your prayers, and that we could feel the love Father has for us. He prays prayers of gratitude and thanksgiving. He prays in the temple, He taught us how to address our Father as the supreme creator of Heaven and Earth, Ask for forgiveness, forgive others, realize all gifts from God are good gifts. These are a few of the things Christ prayed for. You can search in the Scriptures for these and other examples.
May you each journey another way and find time to SEARCH, PONDER AND PRAY, it will be the KEY to a new heart this Christmas.
