Motherhood Education for March!

Love Within the Family

We all remember the beautiful hymn - "Love at Home" - there is beauty all around; when there's love at home. There is joy in every sound, when there's love at home. Peace and plenty here abide, smiling sweet on every side. Time doth softly, sweetly glide, when there's love at home.

Most important thing we can do to nourish the Love in our families is to live the First great Commandment - "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another" (John 13:34

Love requires constant attention unless nourished by constant care, like a plant without water, it will shrivel up and die.

By loving Heavenly Father, we draw close to him, from Him we receive knowledge and power to love, to meet daily challenges in our homes. If we love God, he teaches us and gives us power to love as he loves.

Second Commandment - "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself" (Matt 22:39) Neighbors, family members, friends. Sometimes we treat strangers better than our own families.

The family has been under attach since Satan taunted Adam and Eve. We must guard against contention.

Parents should be partners to cherish and protect one another, knowing that the aim of adversary is to destroy the integrity of the family. Showing love for our own parents is also important to nourishing love in our families. How can we expect our children to love and respect us, if we do not show that we love and honor our own parents? We are showing love and honor to God when we show love and respect for our parents. We need to bear one another's burdens.

Do I really listen to each family member?
Do I spend time with each family member?
Do I help each family member feel needed?
Do I have pure love of Christ?

Remember, there is joy in every sound, when there's love at home.

I hope and pray that we will take the time as Mothers and Grandmothers to look for the needs of our "FAMILY," whoever that might be, help them out and share "Love Within" to make this world a better place. Love to each and every one of you.
