September Preparedness Thought

This month I am taking a turn from preparing with physical means to spiritual preparedness. Earthly materials for an emergency are very important, but just as equally important, if not more important, is spiritual preparedness.  Thanks to our daughter and the Ensign this month, we asked a specific question to use in our family scripture study. Our daughter asked to know more about the Second Coming. What a great topic to learn more about, after all isn't that part of what we are  preparing for. That and eternal life. Some useful places we have found information are, "Jesus the Christ", "Mormon Doctrine", Book of Revelations, and conference talks. This has been very insightful and fun to learn more as a family.

Other topics that would be great to study would be Faith, that can help us  not just in preparing for the event of the Second Coming but in all our challenges we face on a daily basis. Forgiveness, Repentance, the Atonement, enduring well, and finding joy at all times. this months challenge is to pick a topic you would like to be more spiritually prepared in and study it out. I hope that as you do this you will feel more prepared and  build an even stronger foundation to rely upon when the need arises.
