Presidency Message

Dear Sisters, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend Time Out for Women, in Idaho Falls this last weekend with 9 wonderful friends. The spirit was there in abundance and I so appreciate that opportunity.  One speaker struck me with her thoughts asking us the question, "Where is my ministry"? Instantly I thought that right now its serving in the First Ward Relief Society, and my Dad. My Father had a stroke 13 years ago this May, and for the last 15 months has lived in a care center here in Idaho Falls.  Over the course of life, my father and I haven't had a great relationship, but when visiting him recently, the spirit told me that this was the time God was giving me to come to love him more than I have.  So 2-3 times each week I head up there and visit for 30-45 minutes.  We all have a ministry and whatever it is, be it your calling, family, the sisters you visit teach, if we pray we will know what our ministry right now is and make time to really give it all our hearts.  The speaker referenced Philemon, and in VS 9 it says, "Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee"......For loves sake we should receive willingly our ministry.  That is what my ministry is for my dad, its for loves sake, and my ministry for the Relief Society is for loves sake. I love you all sisters, I hope you know that.
Sister Strupp
